This morning, we were honored to be invited to the Arkansas Department of Education to recognize the handful of Senior Citizen Graduates we have had over the years!💚🩵 These graduates were given the opportunity to share their stories and what their time here at The Excel Center meant to them. Three graduates were able to attend and be recognized today: Patricia Nesby (June 2024), Robin Turner (June 2024), and Audrey Palmer (June 2025). Students, please be aware that due to the new Arkansas Act 122 of 2025, cell phones and other personal electronic devices will not be allowed to be out or used during class times. Specifics will be discussed on the first day of school. We look forward to seeing you all on Monday, July 28th for the first day of school!

We have one final group to recognize this week during Teacher Appreciation Week - May 9th is Childcare Worker Appreciation Day!🍼🧸🎈 At The Excel Center, all students have access to FREE childcare while attending class, and we have an incredible team that runs our drop-in center every day! These ladies bring so much passion and enthusiasm to their role, as clearly seen in this photo of them dressed up for Day of the Children last week! It is Administrative Professionals' Day, and we have a few folks we would like to recognize and express our gratitude for! 💚💙 Meet Abby Swanson, our Office Manager, and our most recent addition, Lisbeth Zarate, our new Receptionist! These individuals do so much work for us behind the scenes, ensuring our daily operations run as smoothly as possible. We would also like to take this opportunity to recognize our two incredible Paraprofessionals on staff, Keith Carter and Evelyn Ramos!💚💙 Paraprofessional Appreciation Day was originally celebrated on April 2nd, but unfortunately their recognition got caught up in all of our reorganization after the fire. She recently graduated from Arkansas Leadership Academy's Master Principal Program. After applying and being selected amongst several hundred educational leaders across the state, she has officially completed Phase 3 (year three) of this rigorous program.
