They are often our students' first impression of our program, and we are better able to serve our students because of the numerous behind-the-scenes tasks this team is able to accomplish every week!
Fun Fact: Martha, Lisbeth, and Melvin are ALL Alumni of The Excel Center! It has been a wonderful thing to see Alumni from our program return and join us in our mission of changing lives through education! On Friday, a group of our students went on a Field Trip to the Central High National Historic Site!🖤🐅💛
Students were given an incredible tour by Park Ranger Heather, who shared with our students the story of the Little Rock Nine, detailing the courage of the nine teenagers who helped integrate Central High in 1957. We are so lucky to have such a historically significant site for our nation's history located right in our own backyard!
For several of our students who grew up right here in Little Rock, they would have been alumni of Central High had their academic journeys looked a little different. We are so honored to be part of helping them complete their journey towards obtaining their high school diploma!
